Julien Coustaury is an entrepreneur, investor, and managing partner at Fil Rouge Capital Venture fund. He has been an entrepreneur since he was 13 and he has more than 25 years of experience across various industries, much of it at the CEO level. He has worked in more than 80 countries across five continents and participated in over $1.7bn of purchase, sale, and financing transactions. In recent years he shed the corporate world to allow his entrepreneurial spirit to flourish. As part of the founding team of Double Recall, Julien attended the YCombinator S11 class. He then became an active founder of ABC Accelerator in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and of ABC First Growth, the VC arm of ABC. He became a serial investor in early-stage businesses, and with his partners invested in more than 120 early-stage ventures in the CEE region, and serves on the boards of a number of them. Most recently, he led the raise of Fil Rouge Capital’s latest investment fund bringing the total AuM at Fil Rouge Capital to approx E48M. Fil Rouge Capital’s latest fund is based in Croatia and plans to invest in Regional startups until the end of 2023. Julien Coustaury is one of CEE’s most active and important investors.
