Simone Brummelhuis

Managing Partner

Simone Brummelhuis is co-founder and managing partner of Borski Fund, a VC firm with a focus on technology and diversity, investing in med-tech, software, meta-verse and companies that focus on transforming industries. Prior thereto she was founder of The Next Women, a network and angel platform for women-led companies. Simone has various non-executives and advisory roles  with a focus on digital transformation at Schiphol Group, Mediahuis NL, Rabo Amsterdam. 


She is a pioneer in the startup eco-system and was European director of the women in tech Astia Accelerator and adviser at The Entrepreneur Centre at the Erasmus University and of several startup programs of the European Commission.  She was co-founder of the largest online restaurant platform IENS in The Netherlands (sold to Tripadvisor in 2014). Prior thereto she worked as attorney at Loeff/A&O in Amsterdam and New York and Skadden, Arps NY. She holds a law degree from UvA and Columbia University, NY.


Simone has been recognised as European Business Angel,  Management Scope Top100, Opzij Top Women in Business, 50 Future Makers in The Netherlands , Top 10 Women to meet in Tech by The Guardian.
